Wednesday, January 6

Today is Wednesday, January 6, 2021. Days getting longer, enjoying classical music, chilly air and a steaming beverage. Smiling peacefully.

An inspirational quote by Marie Curie, “Each of us must work for his own improvement, and at the same time share a general responsibility for all humanity.”

The Joy of January. This is a symbolic month to launch a new year to lay the foundation for a brighter future.

Pause in the middle of the week and check in with yourself. How are you doing?

Find something(s) that inspire you and remind you of the why behind your goals, dreams and aspirations. It might be a photo, postcard, some favorite quotes, a story, a souvenir, a memento, a book, or piece of art. Place them where you will see them and be inspired regularly.

      2. When you breath out, smile and hum loudly. Feel the vibrations in your neck.
      3. Repeat 2 times and notice those vibrations rippling outward. Smile to yourself.

Recharge yourself and spread love when you repeat:

“I am [*Name*]. I am doing what I can. I am aware of myself and others, and I belong to a global community. I love myself and others because I have kindness and love in my heart and soul. As I think about those I love and care for, I send loving kindness and compassion to all people. We are all connected. Together, we can do great things.”

Wednesday, December 30

Today is Wednesday, December 30, 2020.  Midweek, remembering all those who reached out and connected in the past year, deeply grateful to be a part of a global community of love.

Delights in December. Use the Daily Gift of Vitality, to allow a moment to pause and connect with what delights you. We share prompts and ideas along the way.

As we approach the last of 2020, take some time to reflect on what delight means to you. In the past year,

    1. What delighted you?
    2. When or where did you experience the most delight in your life?
    3. Who added to or shared in the delight in your life?
    4. What adds or increases delight to life?
    5. How can you generate delightful moments for yourself and others?

An inspirational quote by Mark Victor Hansen. “Dedicate yourself to the good you deserve and desire for yourself. Give yourself peace of mind. You deserve to be happy. You deserve delight.”

Wednesday, November 25

Today is Wednesday, November 25, 2020.  Taking a midweek pause, sipping tea, being thankful. We are grateful for the many ways we can connect with each other. Share in the connection with a cup of tea. It turns out that tea is the most common drink in the world after water.

November is for nesting, nourishing, and nurturing. While the winter approaches in the northern hemisphere, nature reminds us to slow down and recharge in more quiet ways. As animals hibernate or move to warmer climates, we invite you to explore nourishing activities for your mind and body.

Today, we offer a recipe for a warm and cozy Lemon Ginger Turmeric “Tea.”

Ingredients

      • 5 cups of water
      • 2 inch (5 cm) piece of fresh Ginger-peeled and sliced
      • 1 inch (2.5 cm) piece of fresh Turmeric-peeled and sliced
      • Juice of ½ a Lemon
      • Optional 1 Cinnamon stick

Directions:

Place water in a saucepan, add the ginger and turmeric to the water. If using a Cinnamon stick, add this now.  Bring to a boil and the reduce to a simmer for 15 minutes.  Add the Lemon Juice.  Enjoy~

Recipe notes:

This recipe does not use actual tea leaves and does not have caffeine. If you like a spicy tea add more Ginger and Turmeric.  Be aware that when working with fresh Turmeric it can color the skin or counter tops for several days and it will wash off.  When you add the lemon juice, the tea will turn the beautiful yellow color.  This tea is also delicious served cold over ice.

An inspirational Quote from Mother Teresa “Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless”

Recharge yourself when you repeat:

“I am [*Name*]. I am human. My mind, my body, and my spirit are connected, and I am a part of a global community. I love myself and others because I have kindness and love in my heart and soul. As I think about those I love and care for, I send loving kindness and compassion to all people. We are all human. We can create positive energy together.”
